If you want a Simplify alternative, Leepo Pro costs $19 a month, compared with $39.99 a month for Simplify+, as of 2026-09. Autofill is free on both: Leepo’s Chrome extension fills the application form on any career site and attaches the resume tailored for that job. Where Leepo goes further is everything around the application: a resume tailored from your real experience, a fit score for every job, reminders when an application goes quiet and help reaching the right person, for about half of Simplify+’s monthly price. Below: a dated price table, what each tool does best, a feature-by-feature table and a short test to run on both.

What a real job search costs on each

Using the cheapest listed option for each length of search:

  • One focused week: $6.99 on Leepo, $19.99 on Simplify+.
  • One month: $19 on Leepo, $39.99 on Simplify+.
  • Three months: $45 on Leepo, $89.99 on Simplify+.
  • Six months: $90 on Leepo (two quarters), $179.98 on Simplify+ (two quarters; we did not see a 6-month plan listed).

The fair caveat: Simplify’s complete guide to Simplify+ describes unlimited tailored resume versions and unlimited saved cover letters, while Leepo Pro includes 300 credits a month for AI features, under fair use. If you plan to generate AI content for a very large number of applications, compare the work you would really do, not only the sticker price.

What Simplify does well

  • Free autofill with very wide coverage. This is Simplify’s biggest advantage. The Copilot page calls it a free extension that autofills applications on 100,000+ company career sites in one click, and Simplify’s autofill guide puts it at 80% of job application websites. It fills contact details, education, work history, work authorization, demographic questions and links, then you review the form and submit it yourself. When a site is not supported, Simplify’s help article says the extension offers a copy-and-paste view of your profile and a way to request support.
  • Many browsers. According to Simplify’s setup guide, Copilot runs on Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers such as Edge, Brave and Arc, and on Firefox in beta.
  • Field-by-field control. Simplify’s autofill settings let you switch off autofill for individual fields, with examples including disability, work authorization and salary, and choose whether multi-page forms keep filling page after page.
  • A tracker that fills itself. The job tracker guide says applications submitted through Simplify are added automatically, with column and list views, filters, archiving, CSV import and CSV export.
  • A free keyword check. Simplify’s article on Copilot with Simplify+ says free users can see their Keywords Score and missing keywords. Generating the tailored version is the paid part.
  • Job discovery, especially for students. The Simplify homepage promises matched roles from millions of openings and hand-curated lists of new-grad roles, internships and startup openings.
  • Networking from your own connections. Simplify’s networking guide describes surfacing first-, second- and third-degree LinkedIn connections and imported contacts at companies you like, with AI Email drafting referral asks and follow-ups on Simplify+.
  • Gmail integration. Simplify’s email integration matches recruiting emails to applications and suggests status changes that you approve or decline, and lets you send emails to recruiters from the tracker.
  • An agent if you want one. Simplify’s AI talent agent page says the agent finds matching roles, tailors your materials, applies on your behalf and introduces you to recruiters. If hands-off applying is what you want, that is a real difference from Leepo, which never submits for you. Our guide to autofill vs auto apply covers what to weigh before you let any tool send applications in your name.

Where Leepo is stronger

  • Price for AI features. Leepo Pro, with 80 credits a month for AI features (fair use), costs $19 a month or $6.99 for one focused week, against $39.99 a month or $19.99 a week for Simplify+.
  • Tailoring from your real experience. Both tools let you review AI edits before you use them. Leepo’s difference is where the material comes from: you save projects, achievements and notes in a Career Vault, with GitHub and LinkedIn import, and each tailored resume draws on that record. You accept only the suggestions you want. Our guide on how to tailor your resume shows what a good tailored line looks like.
  • Starting from any link. Paste any job link, from LinkedIn, a company careers page and more, and Leepo imports the role, the company and, when the posting lists it, the salary. The ATS fit score then shows matched and missing keywords for that one job.
  • Nudges when an application goes quiet. Leepo flags applications that have gone quiet and reminds you when a follow-up is due. We did not find automatic quiet-application reminders on the Simplify pages we read. Our follow-up email guide has templates for when the nudge arrives.
  • Finding the right person. Leepo helps you find recruiters or hiring managers, save them against an application, and draft referral asks, intros and follow-ups that open in Gmail for you to send.
  • Hands-off status updates, read-only. Leepo’s optional Gmail sync is read-only, and recruiter emails about applications you track update their status for you. If you would rather approve each change, Simplify’s approve-or-decline approach may suit you better.
  • Autofill that always stops for sensitive questions. The Leepo Companion Chrome extension fills employer forms from your saved answers and attaches your resume. Questions about gender, veteran status, disability and salary always pause for you, and you press Submit yourself.
  • Templates you can switch. Leepo includes resume templates you can switch between, plus cover letters and interview prep.

“Not described on the pages we read” means we did not find the feature on the Simplify pages linked here on 2026-09-24. It does not mean Simplify cannot do it, so ask Simplify if that row matters to you.

Which one should you choose?

Choose Simplify if…

  • You mostly want free autofill and expect to apply on a very wide range of career sites.
  • You are a student or new grad and want curated internship and new-grad lists.
  • You browse in Firefox, or want an extension Simplify says supports Edge, Brave and Arc.
  • You will generate AI resumes for a very large number of roles and prefer no credits to count.
  • You want an agent that applies on your behalf.

Choose Leepo if…

  • You want AI tailoring for $19 a month, or for $6.99 during one intense week.
  • You want every tailored resume drawn from a saved record of your real projects and results.
  • You want to know when an application has gone quiet, not notice weeks later.
  • Your search runs on referrals, and you want help finding the person and drafting the message.
  • You want autofill that always stops on sensitive questions and never submits for you.

You can also use both. Nothing stops you from keeping Simplify’s free extension installed and using Leepo for tailoring, fit scores and follow-ups. If you do, pick one tracker as your record so statuses do not drift apart.

A 20-minute test to run on both

The fastest way to decide is to run the same real postings through each tool. Both hold some features for paid plans, so Leepo’s 7-day free trial, which you can cancel any time, is the easy way to test everything in Pro. If you are in the UK, Ireland or New Zealand, where a résumé is called a CV, the test works the same way with your CV.

Simplify vs Leepo test: same three postings, both tools

1. Pick three live postings you would really apply to: one close match, one stretch role, one on an unusual careers site.

2. Save each posting to the tracker. Note how much you typed by hand.

3. Run the keyword check on each. Write down the missing keywords each tool finds.

4. Tailor for the stretch role. Read every suggested line: could you explain it in an interview?

5. Start an application on the unusual site with each extension. Note what it filled, what it missed and what it asked you to check.

6. Find one person at the close-match company and draft a short, specific message.

7. Add up the cost of the plan you would actually need for the length of your search.

If you are comparing more than two tools, our Huntr alternative comparison uses the same dated approach. When you want to try Leepo, sign up at leepo.ai and paste your first job link.

Frequently asked questions

Is Simplify free?

Partly. As of September 2026, Simplify describes Simplify Copilot as a free browser extension that autofills applications on 100,000+ company career sites and saves each one to your Simplify tracker. Free users can also see a Keywords Score with missing keywords. Tailored resumes, AI cover letters, AI answers to essay questions and AI Email need a Simplify+ subscription.

How much does Simplify+ cost?

Simplify’s help center lists Simplify+ at $19.99 a week, $39.99 a month or $89.99 every 3 months, as of September 2026. Simplify says payments are non-refundable once a subscription is active, and that if you cancel you keep Simplify+ until the end of the period you paid for.

Does Simplify apply to jobs for you?

Simplify Copilot fills in the form, and Simplify’s help center says you review the completed application, make any edits and submit it yourself. Separately, Simplify’s AI talent agent page says the agent finds matching roles, tailors your materials and applies on your behalf. Check which of the two you are signing up for.

What is a cheaper alternative to Simplify+?

Leepo Pro costs $19 a month, $45 every 3 months or $6.99 for a single week, compared with $39.99 a month, $89.99 a quarter or $19.99 a week for Simplify+ as of September 2026. Leepo Pro includes 80 AI credits a month, while Simplify describes unlimited tailored resume versions on Simplify+, so heavy AI users should compare the work they would actually do.

Simplify vs Leepo: which is better?

Simplify is the better choice if you mainly want free autofill across as many career sites as possible, curated new-grad and internship lists, broad browser support or an agent that applies for you. Leepo is the better choice if you want AI tailoring from your own saved experience, fit scores, follow-up nudges and outreach drafts for about half the Simplify+ monthly price.
